Join a free guided tour of the Jane Addams Hull-House Museum and explore the history, people, and ideas that shaped one of the most influential social reform movements in American history.

Public tours last approximately 45 minutes and are offered free of charge on Tuesdays and Fridays at 2:00 p.m. Space is limited to 25 visitors, and reservations may be made up to 30 days in advance.

Tours begin in the historic Hull residence, where visitors are introduced to the origins of the settlement, the work of Jane Addams and other social reformers, and the stories of the immigrant and working-class neighbors who helped define the settlement. Visitors will learn about the museum’s permanent and rotating exhibitions while examining how the buildings themselves reflect the histories of the settlement. After the tour, visitors are welcome to continue exploring the museum, the courtyard and Residents’ Dining Hall at their own pace.

Please arrive 5–10 minutes before the tour begins. To ensure availability, we ask that parties be limited to five visitors or fewer.
