The Jane Addams Hull-House Museum Residents’ Dining Hall is available to UIC Groups and select outside organizations to host meetings, lectures and private receptions. We prioritize events that align with the mission and values of the museum and that further the legacy of the Hull-House Settlement.

*A 30-minute on-site walkthrough is required for every event regardless of previous experience hosting events at the museum

FAQs

Is there a discount for UIC groups?

UIC Groups paying through inter-departmental transfer receive a 50% discount.

Does the rental fee include the set-up?

The Hull-House Museum does not provide room set-up or day-of event support.

Do you provide any furniture or equipment for my event?

The space is equipped with a moveable TV,  a portable speaker, 2 large wooden tables, and 40 wooden chairs.

Also included in the rental fee are wireless microphones, mic stands, sign holders, tablecloths, metal folding chairs, and folding tables in varying sizes (6 x 2.5″ and 6 x 1.5″).

What caterers can I use?

You are free to use any catering you’d like. Any alcohol must be served by a UIC bartender. Learn more here.

Can I decorate the space?

The Hull-House Museum’s Residents’ Dining Hall is a Chicago Landmark so as a result, we only allow free-standing decorations.
